In the course of designing a new forward looking arterial catheter, Volcano sought Motim’s help to implement all ancillary mechanical design. This included a molded enclosure, novel cable and connector assemblies, packing material and all supporting documentation. Motim helped Volcano through all phases of the design process leading to a successful pilot manufacturing. The enclosure is 60601 compliant and leak proof to the IPX4 standard. Motim developed and sells an internally produced IPX testing fixture.
